2014 – PETRA BOASE 31st March – 4th April 2014

The time I spent with Petra at her studio helping her package orders as well as preparing items ready for up and upcoming craft stools.

2014 - BIGNALS BOOKBINDERS 14th -24th April 2014

While at Bignals I learnt a lot about preserving paper as well as learning how to bind my own book.

2014 – ROB RYAN 6th May 2014

Worked alongside the team at Rob Ryan and helped in the day to day running of Rob studio preparing stuff for up coming events.

 

VOLUNTEERING:

2103 – PRESENT PAL MENTOR NUA

I’ve been a PAL for 2 years working on scheme to help and support new students on the course. I’ve now also gone on to work with new PALS and inspire and train them as well improving the scheme taking part in meeting with staff, writing reports and presenting.

2014 – PAL CONFIRENCE 6th – 9th November 2014

I have spent the weekend in Edinburgh at the annual Pal conference representing the Uni where I took part in a series of workshops and discussions with other PAL/ PASS leader where I learnt new techniques that I have taken back to my uni and shared to help improve and support the transaction in to uni life and the hopefully the student experience.

2013 –  2015 STUDENT AMBASSADOR

NUA I’ve worked as a student ambassador for nearly 2 years representing the uni and have gained many skills from talking to strangers, dealing with members of the public and working as part of a team.

2015 – LAKEHAM PRIMARY SCHOOL – 30th January 2015

I have planned and organise a workshop with the children inspired by Vienne Westwood where we took inspiration from her designs and her use of pattern to learn about pattern and how design can take inspiration from anything.

2015 – UCAS INTERVIEWS

Volunteered at the UCAS Interviews where I helped guide the potential students as well as helping them with any questions or queirys.

ALUMNI PHONE CALLING - APRIL 2015

As part of the University 170 birthday I spent a series of evening ringing and re engaging with the Alumni and fund rasing showing I have confidence on the phone and good phone manor and able to deal with money over the phone.

NUA SU SECRETARY - JULY 2015 ONWARDS

Since graduating in July I have gone on to be selected to work as part of the Students' Union team as the secretary where my job is to manage admin, finances, run budgets, elections and all the things that keep the union running smoothly.

 

LIVE BRIEFS AND WORKING WITH CLIENTS:

2014- 2015 – PERFECT PLACEMENTS Nov 14 – Feb 15

As part of a brief I worked with clients to produce an installation for an office in Norwich. The brief gave me confidence in pitching ideas and working with a client and working as part of a team as well as engaging with people out of the uni enviroment arranging meeting and planning presentations and budget for the work.

ALPHA CAREHOME –March 15

I also went on to work on another brief for a dementia care home were I arranged workshops, meetings, research and plan work which could protentionaly go on and help people with dementia as well as again working with people outside the uni ennviroment, pitch to the client and manage and proposal coasting and a budget.
